Biography
Carina Schey, PhD, MSc, is a health economist and pharmacist at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and clinical practice. She completed her MSc in Economic Evaluation in Health Care at City University, London, during which she worked in Global Health Outcomes at GlaxoSmithKline, and also holds degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of Groningen. Her career includes six years as a Regional Manager in a private healthcare provider to the UK National Health Service, as well as roles as a Senior Ward Pharmacist in the NHS and in Medical Information within the pharmaceutical industry. Her research contributions include her widely cited 2019 publication "Metastatic Renal Cell Cancer: An Analysis of Reimbursement Decisions," and she serves on a Clinical Research Advisory Board for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
