Dr. Vasudharani Devanathan, MSc, is an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. She completed her education at the University of Madras before establishing her research career focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic disorders. Her work explores the intricate connections between diabetes and neurodegeneration, with particular emphasis on Alzheimer's disease as a model system. Her most-cited publication, "Neurodegeneration in type 2 diabetes: Alzheimer's as a case study" (2020), has garnered 66 citations and exemplifies her contributions to understanding the pathological links between metabolic dysfunction and cognitive decline.
