Dr. Joao Guilherme de Moraes Pontes is affiliated with the Laboratory of Biological Chemistry (LQB), Brazil, having completed his doctoral studies at Universidade Estadual de Campinas and earlier training at Universidade Federal de São Carlos Departamento de Química. His research focuses on NMR-based metabolomics and lipidomics applied to diverse biological systems, including psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, infectious diseases in animals, and phytopathogen control. His most-cited work, "Biological Control of Citrus Postharvest Phytopathogens" (2019), has received 140 citations, reflecting the impact of his contributions to agricultural and clinical metabolomics.
