Evolutionary Anthropology of Primates

Evolutionary anthropology of primates is the study of the evolutionary relationships and changes in primate species over time. It seeks to understand the origins, behavior, and ecology of primates, as well as their adaptations to different environments. It also looks at the implications of primate evolution for the delineation of human evolution. An evolutionary anthropologist might study the behavior of primates in their natural habitats and make comparisons with human behavior, in order to better understand human evolution. The study of primates is also used to help understand conservation efforts to protect threatened and endangered primate species, as well as to inform ecotourism initiatives.
