Biography

Dr. Chengyue Zhang is a Research Investigator at Bristol Myers Squibb Co in Redwood City, California, United States, having earned a PhD from Rutgers University New Brunswick. His research has focused on cancer chemoprevention and the molecular mechanisms underlying cellular transformation, with particular emphasis on the epigenetic regulation of the Keap1-Nrf2 signaling pathway and its modulation by dietary phytochemicals such as sulforaphane, curcumin, and phenethyl isothiocyanate. His work has explored how natural compounds suppress tumor promotion and cancer cell invasion through epigenetic reprogramming, microRNA regulation, and antioxidative stress pathways in prostate and colon cancer models. Dr. Zhang has also investigated the therapeutic potential of vanadyl complexes in diabetes and the role of flavonoids in macrophage activation and inflammatory responses.
