Tumors of the Renal Pelvis and Ureter

Tumors of the renal pelvis and ureter are abnormal growths of tissue that occur in the renal pelvis and ureter, the two organs of the urinary system. They can range in size, but may not be visible unless they cause a blockage of the urinary tract. These tumors may be benign or malignant, and in some cases they can spread to other organs in the body. Treatment depends on the type, size, and location of the tumor, as well as whether it is benign or malignant. Surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy are all potential treatments. Early diagnosis and treatment of these tumors can help improve the prognosis and reduce the risk of complications.
