Biography

Alessandra Pelagalli is an Associate Professor at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II in Napoli, Campania, Italy, where she also completed her education. Her research encompasses veterinary physiology and molecular biology, with particular emphasis on aquaporins and their roles across different species; her most-cited work, "Aquaporins in Health and Disease: An Overview Focusing on the Gut of Different Species" (2016), has received 52 citations. She has been an active member of the Italian Society of Veterinary Sciences (SISVET) since 1995, the Italian Society of Veterinary Physiologists (SOFIVET) since 2001, and the Italian Association of Cell Culture since 2013. Dr. Pelagalli serves on the editorial boards of numerous veterinary and biomedical journals and has been a reviewer for leading publications including the Journal of Dairy Science, International Journal of Molecular Medicine, and BMC Veterinary Research since 2012.
