Indexing, Discovery and Preservation

A transparent distinction between journal-level indexing, article identifiers, discovery services, and publisher preservation information.

This page lists only records that can be verified for JHC. It does not treat a search engine, DOI registration, repository, or general service homepage as proof of journal-level indexing.

Verified journal identifiers

The ISSN identifies the serial publication. Crossref supports DOI registration and metadata for published work; it is not represented here as an indexing service.

ISSN

JHC is recorded in the ISSN Portal as ISSN 2329-9487. Use the linked record to verify the journal identity.

Crossref DOI metadata

Crossref DOI registration and metadata are article-level infrastructure. Check an individual article page and DOI resolution when verifying a specific publication.

Discovery is not the same as indexing

Article pages may be found through web search, citation links, DOI metadata, or library systems. Those pathways are useful but are different from verified inclusion of the journal in a named index.

Journal-level indexing

A claim is shown only when the named service provides a journal-specific record that can be checked.

Article-level discovery

DOIs, article landing pages, citations, and search results can help readers find a specific article without establishing an index listing.

Digital preservation

Open Access Pub provides publisher-level information about content being deposited to Portico as batches are processed.

What this means

Read the publisher preservation page for the current statement. It should not be interpreted as proof that every JHC article has completed title-level preservation processing.

What this page does not claim

It does not claim preservation networks, uninterrupted access, or completed Portico coverage for every JHC article.

What authors and readers can verify

Use a source that matches the claim you need to check.

  • Verify the journal identity through the ISSN Portal record.
  • Verify a specific article through its landing page and DOI resolution.
  • Consult the publisher preservation statement for current programme wording.
  • Consult the data-archiving and permissions page for sharing and repository guidance.

Use clear evidence for every discovery claim.

JHC does not claim unverified inclusion in named databases, citation metrics, or future indexing applications on this preview.
