Stat Signaling

Signal transduction, or signal signaling, involves sending molecular signals from outside the cell to the interior of the cell. This enables cells to identify and respond to their environment. Signal transduction is critical for normal cell functioning, as it controls processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and gene expression. It is also essential for the regulation of the immune system, for example, in responding to foreign pathogens and maintaining homeostasis. Signal transduction has become an important area of research, as it is involved in many diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. Through a better understanding of signal transduction pathways, scientists are exploring ways to target these pathways therapeutically, in order to treat and manage disease.
