Mtt Assay

The MTT assay is a widely used cell viability assay which measures the reduction of a tetrazolium compound to measure the metabolic activity of viable cells in a sample. This assay is commonly used in basic and applied research because it is a fast, reliable, and inexpensive technique for determining cell viability. It is used to test the cytotoxic or cytostatic effects of various compounds on different cell types, as well as to monitor cellular responses to other biological or chemical treatments. The MTT assay is used in a wide range of cell culture studies, including oncology, drug development, vaccine testing, and other biomedical research.
