Biography
Ismail Koyuncu is affiliated with the Department of Medicinal Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, Harran University, Şanlıurfa, Turkey, where he completed his medical education. His research encompasses biochemical investigations of protective compounds against drug-induced toxicity, cancer therapeutics, and reproductive health biomarkers, with particular emphasis on the cytotoxic, antioxidant, and genotoxic properties of novel chemical complexes and natural products. His most-cited work, "The Protective Effect of Naringenin-Oxime on Cisplatin-Induced Toxicity in Rats" (2017), has received 48 citations and exemplifies his contributions to understanding chemoprotective mechanisms. Dr. Koyuncu has authored over 81 indexed publications spanning metal complexes, Schiff base ligands, plant-derived bioactive compounds, and molecular pathways in pulmonary fibrosis and endometrial cancer.
