Autism Etiology

Autism Etiology is the study of the biological, genetic, and environmental causes of autism. It aims to explain the development of autism and explore potential prevention and intervention strategies. Research in this area has identified a range of genetic and environmental factors that are linked to autism, such as particular gene variants and prenatal exposure to certain toxins. In addition, there is growing evidence that the immune system, the microbiome, and other aspects of health may also play a role in the development of autism. This research is critical to advancing our understanding of autism and developing effective treatments and supports to improve the quality of life for individuals on the autism spectrum.
