Autism

Autism is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder that affects how individuals communicate and interact with the world around them. It is characterized by difficulties in social interactions, communication, and repetitive, typically restricted behaviors. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex condition that affects each individual differently, making it difficult to diagnose. Common signs and symptoms of autism include difficulty with communication and socialization, difficulty with changing from one activity to another, difficulty interpreting facial expressions and body language, difficulty expressing one's own thoughts and feelings, difficulty with sensory processing, and repetitive behaviors. Early diagnosis and intervention are key to helping individuals with autism reach their full potential. Treatment of autism can include behavioral therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and medications to address associated symptoms.
