Biography
Emanuele Schimmenti is a Full Professor at the Università degli studi di Palermo, Palermo, Italy, where he specializes in agricultural economics and policy, land market dynamics, the economics and market of Mediterranean agricultural products, and agrofood companies. His research encompasses diverse topics including the competitiveness of floriculture in Southern Italy, land value trends in Sicily, consumer demand for sustainable and locally produced agricultural products, and the adoption of sustainable practices in wine production and multifunctional agriculture. Professor Schimmenti has published extensively in these areas, with his most-cited work, "Agri-Food Markets towards Sustainable Patterns" (2020), receiving 188 citations.
