Genetic Disorder

A genetic disorder is a condition caused by abnormalities in a person's DNA which can influence their health, development and physical features. These conditions can be inherited or caused by new mutations in the genes, and some may be passed down through families. Common genetic disorders include cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, and Huntington's disease. Treatment of genetic disorders may involve medications, lifestyle changes, and dietary modifications. Early diagnosis and intervention are important for helping people manage the condition and improve the quality of their lives.
