Biography
Dr. Masayoshi Yamaguchi is a Professor at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center, United States, where his research focuses on regucalcin, RGPR-p117, calcium signaling and bone metabolism, cancer biology, and nutraceuticals. He has previously held positions as Visiting Professor in departments of Foods and Nutrition, Diabetes, Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Pathobiology, as well as Professor in Nutritional Sciences. Dr. Yamaguchi has registered over 20 national and international patents in his fields of research and has authored more than 20 indexed publications, including his highly cited 2020 work on regucalcin's role in adipocyte differentiation and inflammation in 3T3-L1 cells. His contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Japan Society for Biomedical Research on Trace Elements Award (2007), the Distinguished Service to Science Award from IBC (2007), and Lifetime Achievement Awards from both the International Biographical Centre (2004) and the American Biographical Institute (2004). He serves as editor and editorial board member for 60 international journals.
