Biography

Dr. Toru Ishikawa is affiliated with 済生会新潟第二病院 (Saiseikai Niigata Daini Hospital) in Niigata, Japan, where he has established a distinguished career in hepatology research. His scholarly contributions span over 66 indexed publications, with his most influential work being a 2023 large-scale real-world study comparing atezolizumab plus bevacizumab versus lenvatinib for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma, which has garnered 118 citations and significantly informed clinical practice in liver cancer treatment.
