Biography
Dr. Sadanand Fulzele, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, GA, United States. He received his doctoral training at IVRI and has established a research program focused on studying the role of vitamin C transporter in musculoskeletal repair and regeneration in animal models. His work has expanded to investigate age-related metabolic changes affecting musculoskeletal health, including his most-cited publication on kynurenine, a tryptophan metabolite that increases with age and induces muscle atrophy and lipid peroxidation (2019, cited 79 times). With over 18 indexed publications, Dr. Fulzele's research encompasses microRNA regulation in osteogenic differentiation, extracellular vesicles in musculoskeletal diseases, stem cell biology, and the molecular mechanisms underlying osteoarthritis and age-related bone loss.
