Vascular Plants

Vascular plants are plants that contain specialized xylem and phloem tissues, known as vascular tissues, that help transport water and nutrients throughout the plant. These plants are capable of surviving in environments where non-vascular plants cannot, such as in dry and cold climates. Vascular plants play a key role in our ecosystem. They help reduce soil erosion, provide a habitat for other organisms, produce oxygen, and provide food and medicines for human use. In addition, they are the primary source of biomass used to produce energy, paper and cardboard, bioplastics, and other products. As such, vascular plants are invaluable to our health and well-being.
