Pollen Tube

Pollen tube is an important part of the plant’s reproductive process. It is a slender tube-like structure, usually about the same size as a pollen grain, that grows from the point of contact between a pollen grain and the stigma of a flower. The pollen tube carries the sperm cells within the pollen grain to the ovules in the ovary, where fertilization of the egg cell can occur.
