Leaf Veins

Leaf veins are an important component of a tree's vascular system; they transport water, minerals, and other important nutrients up from the roots to the leaves. Leaf veins provide structural support for the leaf, and their branching pattern determines the size, shape, and surface area of the leaves. Leaf veins also play an important role in photosynthesis, as they are responsible for the transfer of gases and light energy needed for the process. Leaf veins are also important indicators of tree health, as they can be used to monitor the hydration and nutritional needs of the tree.
