Crop Physiology

Crop physiology is the scientific study of the interactions between plant physiology, environmental factors, and the production of crops and agricultural products. It focuses on understanding how plants grow, develop, and respond to their environment to increase crop yield. Crop physiology is a key to understanding how best to use resources to maximize productivity while minimizing environmental impacts. By understanding how plants interact with their environment, agriculturists can develop strategies to increase crop yields and reduce the use of pesticides, fertilizers, and other inputs. This knowledge can also help to improve the sustainability and resilience of agricultural production systems.
